The courthouse sits between Faiburn Road and Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville. Superior Court courtrooms are located on the upper floors of the building. Parking is available on-site, and all visitors pass through security screening at the entrance.

The Douglas Judicial Circuit

Douglas County is its own single-county judicial circuit, the Douglas Judicial Circuit. The Superior Court judges hear only Douglas County cases, which is different from the multi-county circuits common in more rural parts of Georgia.

Current Superior Court Judges:

• Chief Judge Cynthia C. Adams. Appointed in 2017 and elected since, Judge Adams was sworn in as Chief Judge of the Douglas Judicial Circuit in January 2025, becoming the first female and first African American to hold that role in the circuit’s history.
• Judge Deah Warren. Appointed to the bench in 2022.
• Judge Lauren Wallace. The circuit’s most recently seated Superior Court judge.

Each judge maintains a separate calendar, and your case will be assigned to one of them when it is filed. Some proceedings are conducted by video conference using Cisco Webex, with instructions provided on your court notice.

Civil cases are e-filed through PeachCourt or Odyssey eFileGA. Public Access Terminals are available in the Clerk’s office Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for those filing without an attorney. Clerks cannot give legal advice but can explain filing procedures.
